For CEO Brandial Bright, cooking has always been a family tradition. Her grandfather, Joseph “Joe” Scott, was a butcher and caterer and would cater events throughout the state of South Carolina. Ever the dedicated cook, Joe Scott used that grill all the way up until his death in 2010.

Not too long after he passed away, Brandial’s parents were on their way to sell his special grill when they called her to inform her of their intentions. Brandial objected, saying that the grill belonged in the family. Her parents were convinced and handed possession of the family grill over to her. Brandial quickly went to work refurbishing her grandfather’s prized grill and now, just a few years later, that grill remains in action- in a different (and larger) capacity than Brandial’s family could have ever imagined.
